(“Company,” “Shop,” “we,” “us,” or “our”)

These Terms & Conditions (“Agreement”) govern all automotive restoration, detailing, cleaning, and related services provided by Alaka‘i Vehicle Restoration to any customer (“Customer,” “you,” or “your”).

By scheduling services, authorizing work, signing an invoice, dropping off a vehicle, or accepting completed services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by this Agreement.


1. AUTHORIZATION TO PERFORM SERVICES

Customer authorizes Alaka‘i Vehicle Restoration to perform automotive services on the vehicle(s) identified, which may include, but are not limited to:

  • Hand wash and rinse

  • Exterior soap wash

  • Interior vacuuming

  • Interior wipe-down and surface cleaning

  • Tire and wheel cleaning

  • Window and glass cleaning

  • Interior and exterior detailing

  • Cosmetic restoration, cleaning, and maintenance services

Customer understands that services are cosmetic and maintenance-based only and do not repair mechanical, electrical, or structural issues unless expressly agreed in writing.


2. NO WARRANTY / NO GUARANTEE OF RESULTS

Alaka‘i Vehicle Restoration provides no warranties, express or implied, on standard wash, detailing, or restoration services.

We do not guarantee:

  • Complete stain removal

  • Odor, oil, or grease removal

  • Scratch or swirl removal

  • Paint correction or restoration

  • “Like-new” or factory-new results

Results vary based on vehicle condition, materials, age, paint quality, and prior damage.


3. PRE-EXISTING CONDITIONS

Customer acknowledges that vehicles may have pre-existing conditions, including but not limited to:

  • Scratches, dents, chips, fading, oxidation, rust

  • Worn paint, peeling clear coat, cracked trim

  • Interior wear, stains, tears, or odors

Alaka‘i Vehicle Restoration is not responsible for pre-existing damage or deterioration revealed during or after cleaning or restoration.


4. INTERIOR CLEANING & PERSONAL PROPERTY

Customer is solely responsible for removing all personal items and valuables prior to service.

Alaka‘i Vehicle Restoration is not responsible for:

  • Lost, stolen, or damaged personal property

  • Cash, electronics, documents, or valuables

We are not liable for damage to fragile, loose, aftermarket, or deteriorated interior components.


5. FINAL INSPECTION & ACCEPTANCE

Customer agrees that final inspection occurs at vehicle pickup.

Once the vehicle leaves the premises or is driven off the lot, all services are deemed:

  • Completed

  • Accepted

  • Free and clear of discrepancies

No claims, complaints, or disputes will be accepted after departure.


6. PAYMENT TERMS

  • Payment is due in full upon completion of services

  • No refunds will be issued after services are completed

  • Vehicles may be withheld under a mechanic’s lien until payment is received, as permitted by Hawaii law

Force majeure events or delays do not relieve Customer of payment obligations for services rendered.


7. STORAGE, LATE PICKUP & FEES

  • Same-day pickup is expected unless otherwise agreed

  • Overnight or late pickup may incur storage fees

  • Vehicles left beyond agreed pickup time may be moved, stored, or secured at Customer’s expense


8. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY (HAWAII LAW)

To the maximum extent permitted by Hawaii law:

  • Alaka‘i Vehicle Restoration shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages

  • We are not responsible for loss of use, diminished value, or cosmetic imperfections

  • Total liability, if any, shall not exceed the amount paid for the specific service performed


9. RELEASE & INDEMNIFICATION

Customer agrees to release, indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Alaka‘i Vehicle Restoration, its owners, employees, and agents from any claims, losses, damages, or expenses arising from:

  • Vehicle condition

  • Services performed at Customer’s request

  • Pre-existing defects or deterioration

  • Third-party claims related to the vehicle

Customer assumes all risk associated with vehicle condition and use.


10. NO FRAUD OR MISREPRESENTATION

Alaka‘i Vehicle Restoration does not engage in fraud, deception, or misrepresentation.

Customer acknowledges that:

  • Services and limitations have been clearly explained

  • No guarantees or promises beyond this Agreement were made

  • No reliance was placed on verbal statements inconsistent with these Terms

Customer agrees that dissatisfaction with results does not constitute fraud or misrepresentation.


11. FORCE MAJEURE

Alaka‘i Vehicle Restoration shall not be liable for delays or failure to perform services due to events beyond reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, weather, power outages, equipment failure, supply shortages, or governmental actions.


12. GOVERNING LAW & VENUE

This Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Hawaii.

Exclusive venue for any dispute shall be the courts of the State of Hawaii, County of Honolulu.


13. ENTIRE AGREEMENT

This Agreement constitutes the entire agreement between the parties and supersedes all prior discussions, representations, or agreements.

No oral statements, estimates, or prior communications modify this Agreement.


14. SEVERABILITY

If any provision of this Agreement is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.


15. ACCEPTANCE

By scheduling service, signing an invoice, dropping off a vehicle, or allowing work to be performed, Customer confirms acceptance of these Terms & Conditions in full.

After you send the SMS message "STOP" to us, we will send you an SMS message to confirm that you have been unsubscribed. After this, you will no longer receive SMS messages from us. If you want to join again, just sign up as you did the first time and we will start sending SMS messages to you again.

  • Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages
